What is the course about?

Street and documentary photography have evolved with the tools and the technologies currently used by professionals: digital cameras, laptops and wireless communications. Still, they remain two of the most powerful forms of photography.

The street and documentary photography course will teach you the historical, contextual and conceptual framework required to develop an engaging photo story. It will also provide technical guidance and individual work feedback.

During this course, we will discuss the main elements of a photo essay: the establishing shot, the portrait, the close-up, the overview and the interaction shot and how to edit your images in order to construct a coherent story.
